In 1984, executive chef Jesse Wong left his home in Taiping, Malaysia and moved to Washington D.C. With dedication and creativity, he worked his way from a dishwasher to executive chef and built a following of loyal customers.
Chef Wong began the Asean Bistro in 1998. To this day, you can still get delicious food from a convenient location. Our dynamic management team and highly trained kitchen staff strive to give you an excellent meal every day.

"We had looked the restaurant up before we went there and had mixed reviews, so we decided to find out on our own. We were very surprise by our visit there; the service was great and very accommodating. We were also very lucky to be there on a Friday night since they have a band playing jazz every Friday and Saturday night and we had great music with delicious food which made our experience much better than what we expected it to be. We would definitely recommend them to our family and friends."
